Design 10 Datasheets For Capito

Our client, Capito Ltd., is a leading provider of IT services and solutions across the UK. From cloud migration, business continuity, and collaboration tools to managed IT services, DaaS services, and cloud migration, our client is one of the leading IT solutions providers in the nation with over 30 years’ experience.

Naturally, our team was honoured, but more importantly, excited to have a chance to work with a major player in the IT services and solutions sector – where they were asked to come up with a sophisticated and corporate-looking design for data sheets pertaining to all of Capito’s respective offerings.

From the distinct corporate blue and white background to the bold, business-like text to the straightforward layout – everything about the design pleased our client, and we were able to complete it in record time too, as most designs are a lengthy and highly nuanced process, involving a fair amount of trial and error

Not so with our client for this particular project, as they loved the first few iterations we showed them, which were refined over the course of a few days and delivered with the highest quality standard as per our promise.

Businesses in the bespoke IT services and solutions sector cater to a very specific audience – the kind of audience that is always looking for “no nonsense”, straight-to-the-point solutions and results. Our design needed to reflect this – e.g. arm the reader with specific information in a quick and succinct manner, which would effortlessly guide them to the desired call-to-action.

• Our client was overjoyed to see the initial concept design we came up with, where we chose a very ‘business-like’ blue tone as the main colour – much like the slide deck we got the information on, originally.
• We put down the call-to-action in italics against a more distinct background to make it pop a little, while using our client’s signature black, red, and blue brand tones throughout.
• After the first few iterations, we shuffled some of the paragraphs around to draw more attention to the value proposition of each service a little better – taking the reader on an insightful journey, clearly outlining why Capito Ltd. should be their IT solutions service provider of choice.
• After each feedback session with the client and subsequent revision, we were able to refine the text even more, while including hi-res images where appropriate.
• Our in-house writers and editors were quick to make any textual changes while our skilled in-house designers paid close attention to every design update requested by the client.
• Lastly, after approving the design, our client asked us to provide print-ready versions of the PDFs as they needed a 3mm bleed on each aide of the file, with all the text and vital information such as logos and graphics placed at least 7mm away. Our designers were able to quickly accommodate this request and provide printable versions the very same day.
• At the last moment, however, the client decided to make a number of changes to the text, including the addition of a few more logos of the customers they had served. As always, our designers who are known for thinking on their feet, jumped on the requests and provided a tweaked version to the client the very next day.
• The entire data sheet design which was done using editable Word documents saw the use of Adobe Illustrator mostly, which is among our favourite design tools of all time. Additionally, we used our own tools and methods to further refine the overall design and aesthetics of each MS Word slide.

• “Brilliant”, “Superb”, “Lovely” – these were just some of the words our client used to describe the final delivery.
